Colour: Golden brown. Tasting notes, undiluted: Nose: Rich, sherry aromas. Delicate spices - eucalyptus and cinnamon. Slightly perfumed with sweet toffee aromas. Palate: Smoky with peppery notes. Charred, bonfire embers. A subtle floral element in the background with fruit flavours developing. With water: Nose: Sweet, fruit and sherry aromas with traces of vanilla and a slight nuttiness. Palate: Dry, ashy elements combined with wood/resinous flavours. Floral, perfumed note evident. Body: Medium with deep array of flavours. Palate: Smoke and ash with rounding sherry influence. Cask type: Refill Sherry Hogsheads. Style: A strong sherry influence but the elegant Speyside character shines through.
