GLENURY ROYAL - 50 Year Old 70cl Bottle
Nose. Soft smoke. The burnt skin of some chestnuts roasting. Palate. Rich, smooth, luxurious. A whole box of liqueur chocolates concentrated into my tasting glass. Dark chocolate, variously filled with coffee and cherry liqueurs. Perhaps even peppermint. Finish. Sappy, oaky, dryness. A stunning farewell performance.
